Same here. I had not cried like that in a long time - not over a movie.

    This story is heartbreaking.

I never really thought about what animals go through when they lose their humans. That has got to be so sad for them. I think they understand. I think they know.

I was a kid the last time I heard this story. It brought tears to my eyes both then and now.

Of all the cats I've had since I was a kid, I think only one of them MIGHT mourn me, and it's not the one I have now...
It's 2020...do you know where you're going to?

i saw this on the news the other day w/ my friend who just had to put her dog down...it was quite a touching moment and a testament to the bond between animals and their "owners"/families...

Yep, of course they know. When my mom died, Tiny was so depressed and did nothing but mope around for months. She wouldn't play, didn't even bark much, didn't want to eat or drink much of anything. She didn't even want to go outside unless she REALLY had to go #1 or #2, and even when she got back inside, she'd just go in a corner somewhere and curl up in a ball.

    poor baby

every time I try to show this story to someone first off I chock up so bad I can't talk and then they can't say anything either and just walk away. I even made my supervisor cry. This is just the saddest thing ever.

Saw this on the news.....broke my heart!

Reminds me of another story I heard where a man was killed in a car accident and his dog still waits for him and the front gate of his ranch to come home. The family says they have tried everything to try to get him to come with them but he just waits.

    Heartbreaking!
