Default Curling locks with a curling iron?

I'm more than positive I'd never use a curling iron to curl my locks, but has anyone ever tried this? Let's say for reasons like being in a hurry for a special occasion, and you wanted to throw some curls in your locks real quick.

Nope, I wouldn't do it. If I wanted curls I'd just wrap them around something.

I went natural to get AWAY from heat tools.

I'm going to vote Hell NO. I tend to plan ahead and unless you have very very thick locs 5-6 hours is enough to achieve some sort of curl if you start with slightly damp locs and use a warm dryer. If I don't have time for curl I figure out a way to style my hair without them, but under NO circumstance would I put a friggin' curling iron to my locs...
That said I'm certain there's a member who discussed flat ironing their locs, so maybe they'll chime in.

No never tried it, thought heat would damage the locs, if time is really short there are enough loc updo styles to do or dress the hair with ornaments if the locs are short or wear fancy accessories elsewhere on the body. If one has the time braid/roller set the locs in the morning with setting lotion then go to fancy do in the evening.

I don't even own a curling iron any more. And i can't say i'd be motivated to go out and buy one for my locs. To have curls in my locs would never be that much of a serious or desperate affair for me. If a rushed event like that were to occur, it would be nothing that a bunch of large open bobby pins couldn't handle. I'd put up me an updo and call it a day.

    What they said ^^^

I am only interested in sitting under the dryer on medium heat to completely dry my locs after a twist. Other than that no heat. No hot curlers. No loc formers/flat irons. None of that fancy heated stuff.

Why would anyone do such a thing??

Anyway, I've never owned a curling iron and at this moment I don't even own a comb so the answer would be no.
