Type 4 hair, PLEASE HELP
need to find a good hair care system for my type 4b hair. Im in the desert so I dont have alot of choices. PLEASE HELP

Welcome to the site nettea82, our hair type tends to dryness, so moisture, moisture is the main thing. Do you have access to any oils you can create a spritz with e.g olive, coconut, jojoba etc? Try to avoid heavy based petroleum greases and alcohol basd products they are drying for the afro hair type and traditional grease just coats the hair like using lard in your arteries lol Plus being in the desert I would suggest keeping your hair in small braids or cornrows (hope that is allowed are you in the military?)
It will be down to a matter of trial and error till you find what works for you.
Forgot to add a good diet is very important in hair care as well. What we put in shows in what grows out the scalp (eventually).Last edited by Denny; 09-22-2011 at 12:11 PM.

Im going to order those oils from amazon and see what works best. As of right now, im wearing Senegalese twist. Im a contractor out in Afghan so I really dont have a certain way that I have to where my hair. Thanks for the information.
