Natural hair slump..feeling kinda blah!
Lately I have been feeling kinda blah about my hair. I am at a point where I just don't know what to do with it. I am not feeling the puff anymore so I two strand twist it for a few days but honestly it doesn't help. I am not thinking about relaxing or anything so no worries about that. But I think that I am just over the loose natural hair. I am tired of doing it everyday. I thought about braids....which I may do soon. Has anyone else felt this way? If so, please please tell me how you got out of your natural hair slump.
I am going in whatever direction my natural journey takes me....

Every 6 weeks or so I get bored with my hair and just wish to go to a hot stylist who can hit me up.
That is why I love youtube and fotki and have an arsenal of hair styles that I can always fall back on. I always try to switch up my styles but there is one that I can always rely on to feel like my hair is on point.
Also, I love hair accessorizes. I go to andrea's beau website and dream what headband to use. I only buy when they have a sale though.
But I do understand though... sometimes you just don't feel creative.

Why do you have to do your hair everyday? Is it a length issue? I wear twists, bandouts, twistous etc for a week at a time and only do my hair once a week. (Unless I feel like co-washing everyday!)

(Deep breathe) Ok now I don't feel so bad. I was worried that no one would comment and I was on an island by myself. Thanks crescendo...I have a flower in my hair today along with my twist. It's cool especially because I didn't have to do anything to it this morning but fix a few. I will visit the website to see what else I can find to jazz it up until it grows out to the length I want to loc my hair with.

PPM--yep it is a length issue. I have about 3 inches of hair. I usually keep my twist in for about 3 days. I twist it because I don't feel like co washing or wetting it in the shower, waiting on it to dry, etc etc etc. I use to enjoy this part but now Im just trying to avoid it. I know that's wrong but that's where I am.

OP: I can relate as well. I leave my PS's in for 2 weeks at a time, so that I'm not staring at it loose. My attention isn't on the hair [for once! lol]
Crescendo's suggestion [viewing YT videos] is my fallback. I'm sure to get a fresh take on twists that way.
Hang in there!
