I'm planning to wash my hair every week in December to address build up around the base of the loc (going to retwist at the end of December), and ignore my fuzzy roots (which I do anyway) in the mean time. Right now, I retwist every 4- 8 weeks but am lazy about washing enough. I can go weeks without washing but am going to "shampoo rehab" effective immediately.

I co wash my hair every week (I use shampoo every 4-6 weeks). I haven't done a retest since September. My next retest will be in January, and I probably might give latching a try.

I was once a week and re-twist every 5-6 weeks. I also don't care for the super manicured looks or the parting because I hate that scalpy look. From the shampooing I realize that my some sections of my hair which are more curly than kinky are getting oily. I never had an oily hair issue while loose, but I think the weight of the lock + weekly shampooing may be contributing to this.

Washing once a week (at least) seems to keep mine relatively soft and nice looking. I notice if I go a week or more with no wash they look dull and dry, no amount of oil willl help it, or misting.

I "shampoo" my hair every two weeks, but in-between the shampoo I rinse every week. I re-latch about 4 to 5 times a year.

I wash my hair with an unscented castile soap bar followed by a a salt water rinse and prologed rinsing daily. I am sill in the baby stages so I retwist once a every 2-3 weeks.
