Update on my locs
I haven't been updating as often as I thought I would. But here are my latest pictures:
February 1, 2011
March 10, 2011
I am 18 months into my locs now. I've tighten my regimen up quite a bit. I wash my hair every 2 weeks now. I wash with Dr. Bronner's Shampoo and condition with Desert Essence Red Raspberry Conditioner once a month. For the alternate two week wash I only co-wash with Desert Essence Red Raspberry Conditioner. This has worked extremely well for my hair during winter weather here in NYC. Also for spritzing I use rosewater or I let the shower steam my hair everyday. For sealing the moisture in I use only jojoba oil now. Also, I use henna every 4-8 weeks for extra condition which has done wonders for eliminating any brittleness from my hair.

My regimen is very simple. When washing, I use KC Come clean then condition with Aurbury Organics. I mostly keep my hair in twists or a tuck and roll style. When styling, I use KC knot today and seal with sweet almond oil.
Update: i have my measurements- 7 inches in the back, 6 1/2 on the sides, 6 on top and 5 inch bangs.Last edited by Olahh; 03-15-2011 at 09:15 PM.

update
my hair is in a protective style micro braids for 3 weeks now hoping and praying it lasts 3 months, hoping to style up the braids next week for a different look, for April, so still cant say how long is my hair and since its approaching winter here (south Africa) i intend to go straight into another protective style, still to dream it up and saving money. Protective style monthly cost me from $30 - $45 so i have 2 months saving, which goes to my holiday spending money.

I'm in two Strand twists this monts, just updated my fotki finally, after the cut I had back in october/november.
My hair is growing nicely now, some layers are shoulder length, but I want the hair on my crown to reach my shoulders too-Blog: Destineddoctor.blogspot.com
-Fotki: http://public.fotki.com/Imanii/
-Hair regimen: Monthly: Henna. Every two weeks: wash, condition, twist with shea butter mix. Daily: seal ends with castor oil. Luv it!

Pic in avatar was about 3 months ago, expecting to reach shoulder length with about half my layers by year end. For the front of my hair to reach shoulder, I will probably need until next year!
Pics in my fotki, and I will do another length comparison when I hit the 2 year mark in June!On that locing tip since June 12, 2009...
