I like cheese
Does anyone else?
What's your favorite kind?
I don't think I have a favorite, but Swiss, Provolone, extra sharp cheddar, and bleu are defnitely up there! :P

Funny you should post this seeing as I'm considering going off animal products completely, lol...
My requirements are pretty simple: It has to be real cheese (full-fat, natural) and with one exception (see below) it has to be sharp and/or strong enough to bite me back. Sharp/extra-sharp Cheddar is a staple in my home. My discovery of Parmigiano Reggiano means I'll never pick up another green can of Parmesan again...plus Wal-Mart sells it now which makes me feel guilty for not getting it from my local co-op but oh well. Bleu cheese is awesome on red meat (steak, hamburger).
Cottage cheese is also a staple...but I usually eat it as part of an all-protein breakfast (along with eggs and bacon).Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

I've been a cheese addict all my life. Extra sharp cheddar is my favorite, but I mostly love them all! But like another poster said, it HAS to be REAL cheese...not that nasty Kraft mess. I wouldn't touch it with a 100ft. pole. The other cheese that I just hate is cottage cheese, I cannot get past the lumps!
I remember when I was a little girl, the kind of sharp cheddar that had the black wax on it, that my uncle use to use to make me cheese and eggs on Saturday mornings. I would run through the kitchen and sneak it out of the frying pan. My uncle would laugh and say "there must be a little rat in here."
God... I miss those days.Last edited by Veviticus; 12-05-2011 at 04:05 PM.

Yay cheese!
And LBellatrix I agree, cheese with a bite is sooooo good!
Vevitacus I remember that cheese! When I was really little I would bite the wax thinking that was the cheese and go, "cheese is nasty!"

i like sharp angry cheese for the most part.
my favorite cheeses are havarti, port salut, manchega, feta, blue, stilton.
i love eating cheeses with fruits like apples, grapes or some sort of fruit chutney (YUM).
i agree with lbelle about para reggiano cheese, as well as asiago.
oh yeah for cheeses with the rinds, dont throw those rinds out!. ionce i get to the rind and i cant grate anymore without potentially grating mt fingers, i put them in things like crockpot chili or crockpot soups. melts away into deliciousness!Last edited by LOLzilla; 12-06-2011 at 06:40 AM.

I love cheese! If I could, I'd live on nothing but cheese.
Sharp and Mild Cheddar
Pepper Jack (or any spicy/hot cheese)
Provolone
Gouda
Butterkäse
Feta
Goat
Cottage Cheese
Cream Cheese
Mozzarella
....too many to name...
YUM!

Anyone else hate american "cheese"? I hated it when I was little and I could tell that it wasn't real cheese. Ew Kraft.

I HATE American cheese! When I was a kid I would eat it all the time in grilled cheese sandwiches, but now you couldn't pay me to eat it
I love extra sharp cheddar cheese on everything. I'm a serious addict I also like provolone, mozzarella, pepper jack, and swiss. I've never encountered rind cheese, but if I ever do i'm definitely getting some.
I'm not a psychopath, Anderson. I'm a high functioning sociopath. Do your research.- Sherlock
