Shea Moisture?
So I've been searching for a natural hair care series and I thought I found it in SHEA MOISTURE. I looked all the way to the end of the ingredients on their shampoo, and it was amazing. Everything I wanted in my hair, and nothing I didn't. Moreover it felt great. It softened my hair and smelled amazing without harsh alcohol on the ingredient list. I was sold. So I went looking for products from the rest of the line. I found a curl smoothie and bought it since I was running out of my Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter. I don't want to go back to Carol's Daughter... way too expensive for a student. But I noticed after I got home that they had Ammonium salt on the ingredient list. First off its not a shampoo since its a smoothie, it is meant to style your hair, so when I looked this up I could not even understand what a sulfate was doing in a hair butter. I noticed that it's derived from natural coconut alcohol, and it is a coconut hibiscus hair butter. Also it does list coconut oil as an ingredient. So...pass or fail? Yay or Nay? What do you guys think?

In a nutshell, SM is a very popular product line. I don't use it, but that's only because I can't afford to buy anything else for my hair.
If you're comfortable with SM, use it.
ETA - I'm curious about why you were asking about the use of coconut-derived ingredients. Are you allergic?"Coal mining is harder [than writing]. Do you think miners stand around all day talking about how hard it is to mine for coal? They do not. They simply dig."

No I'm not, I saw ammonium salt on the ingredient list and I was actually worried that it had something to do with actual ammonia. Then I looked it up and realized it was a sulfate. I was worried at first but then I did more research and saw that it actually comes from coconut alcohol. In which case I really didn't think it could be so bad. What is your product regimen?
