Default Now that you're 40 plus...what changes are there to your hair ?

I'm noticing drier hair. My texture seems to be a little different as well. What changes have you noted ? Does hair stop growing at some point or does it just slow down ?

it's definitely dryer but all I do is wet it and put it in a bun so I think I'll start moisturizing more often and maybe do some conditioner treatments under a dryer to help, in addition to eating properly for hair health....seems like on the other side of 40 EVERYTHING is affected by your diet and how much water you drink (or not)....

Thinning crown...can't be helped. Just like my mom's hair, I'm afraid.

Definitely drier and I drink a lot of water (8 glasses). Also, let's not even mention the gray hair and there seems to be different textures.

Now that I'm almost finished with the Whole 30, I can definitely testify to the power of the diet in general. Veggies, fruits, quality protein, and NO JUNK = better and healthier body and mind.

As for my hair, well, the only two significant things I've noticed is less hair (as in thinning, mainly at the top) and more gray. I'm hoping that the thinning can be reversed with this change in diet. Note that I don't have any visible bald spots...I just have less bulk than I had in my 30s.
Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

    OHR.....HAHHAHAHA!!!!

I confess, I tried the hair dye...but I just can't any longer, not with my hair already dry. That process just doesnt help. Also my grey hair wasn't issue with me, I just got bored.

Yep, better eating and water is a plus.

My hair is thinning as well. It's still thick, but nowhere near as thick as it once was. The texture appears to be changing, but that may be a byproduct of the thinning. I just keep it as moisturized as I can and eat more fruit, veggies and drink more water.

My hair was thinning BADLY before I got rid of the perm. My hairline was also receeding! I think my last bald spot if finally filling in after almost 2 years, and every time I use henna, I'm getting closer and closer to my eyebrows!
