How can I get my hair like this?
Is it possible without relaxers?
Or can she only do this cause she's biracial?
I have really tightly coiled hair
If anyone's wondering, it's Jessica Sula from Skins (seasons 5-6)

- roller set with large rollers
- do a combo braidout then banding session. when i tried this this got my hair very very close to what it looked like with a relaxer. basically you wash your hair like normal, detangle, put in your leave in products. put hair in multiple braids to dry. once dry, take out the braids and start banding sections of hair.
it was a 2 day process for me because i didnt have a hair dryer and it takes forever for my hair to dry. when i do it again, i'll just use my hooded dryer on low to help out the braids.
the results i got were straight hair but with waves and volumes. it wasnt silky by any means because i have heavy hair and tightly coiled as well. but people did think i had a relaxer.
the style lasts as long as humidity will allow. i didnt use any special humidity fighting products.

oh yeah you definitely want to make sure your hair is totally dry before putting in the bands. the difference in waiting until it was dry is that you're sort of flattening out the crimps from the braids a little bit. and you end of getting softer looking waves.
also i banded a little differently.
i used strips from an old pair of leggings and wrapped the entire length of the hair with the strips. i secured the ends with regular pony tail holders.
