    Question Am I cheating...

My question is a leading one but I am really curious as to your opinion..
My hair is natural....but about a week ago I went and got a sew in. My reasoning: To put my hair to rest and let it grow. I had previously had micro braids that did damage my edges a bit and I wanted to find a way to be able to treat the edges but not put stress on them as much as I did before. The way my hair is done, my edges are pretty much out but kinda of hidden under the weave hair. As a natural hair diva...how do you feel about weaves?

I don't think it's cheating. Especially if you're wearing it protectively. The only time I get iffy about weaves is when women insist on wearing weaves rather than their natural hair because they think the weave is better. But to each her own, so who cares anyway.

I don't think that it makes you a "cheater" lol.
And I agree with this: "

I joined in 2004. I had my 4th BC (and final one ) on Oct. 24, 2011. My hair is 4a-z. I work with my hair, not against it.

Thanks for your input ladies. Hopefully when I take it down my edges will be on the road to repair. :0)

I agree. I know naturals who prefer to switch it up every once in a while. It's no harm.
