Homemade Cleaners?
Hi Ladies,
I'd like to start making my own household cleaners. I've found some recipes online but I'd like to hear from people with experience what really works and what will leave your house funky.
For example, one site recommended cleaning wood floors with white vinegar. Really?? And where does one buy Borax?

Eco Friendly
You should be able to buy Borax from your local Walmart or any grocery store. It's on the same aisle with Laundry Detergent near the stain remover products. I use Borax as a disinfectant for toilets. But it can be used in several ways. I love it!
I also use distilled white vingear mixed with hot water and a scented oil to clean my laminate floors.
I haven't bought Windex in several years. I mix vingear with some warm water in a spray bottle and use it to clean my glass tables and mirrors.
Baking soda is also a good cleaning product.
I'm not sure of the measurements I use. Sorry
