Bald edges have ALWAYS been my worst fear. It's never happened to me and I am not doing anything special to prevent it. My mother has thinned edges and that's why I am afraid of having them.

Lol and I had this weird dream that some one took down my baby locs (5 mnths old) and gave me a darn perm! Lmao I was super pissed! Glad it was just a dream though!

I've thought about this off and on & I currently have no hair fears. They USED to be that my locs would have buildup or mildew, but neither have materialized and I don't expect them to after all these (3) years.

My biggest fear is for my edges is to be any thinner than they already are..I have traction alopecia like many of you fear and I've been growing them back but I still can't wear many styles and i'm lucky that I have lots of hair to compensate for my temples....another fear is heat damage so I only straighten once or twicea year id even that much....I am not brave admit big chopping again so I guess another fear is having to go really short again but I do sometimes rethink that when I am detangling.. Just FYI, anyone scared of thinning should not color because even tho I used natural color and didn't have breakage, my hair is noticeably thinner where it was colored..thank goodness I never colored my edges....ok, end of rant...
