If you're a cycling fan, you know Greg LaMond. Here's his take on the interview:

"After watching the interview, he believes Armstrong feels no real remorse, but that the entire show was a carefully choreographed public
relations stunt masterminded by the same Armstrong handlers who helped to ruin LeMond’s business and his position in the sport."
I'll be watching Part 2 of the interview tonight. I want to see how he justifies his actions to his family. Last night, he was borderline sociopathic.

Huge and not entirely appropriate generalization coming up: I'm not sure why folks are so annoyed with Lance. He's a white boy doing what white boys do... IJS

I'm gonna have to agree with LaMond. He didn't seem remorseful at all and in fact came across as defensive to me. That, and the fact that he was unwilling to be forthright about various questions Oprah was asking. It's like at this point, what do you have to lose? Aside from him admitting that he did dope etc., he was pretty much vague on most of the other questions she asked. I didn't even finish watching the entire first part of the interview b/c I found it frustrating and futile. I think he's more pissed that he got caught than remorseful. I think his whole stance is that everyone else was doing it so it was just accepted practice and he wasn't really doing anymore than other cyclists who also used/use. But at the end of the day you're living a lie to the public at large and to yourself. And then to be so arrogant as to call other people liars and sue them based on YOUR lies? Wow!

I also wonder if Oprah will bring up the twitter photo that he posted after he got stripped of the Tour de France titles. I will read about this interview in the morning; I can't finish watching this.
I say this withough having seen the interview (I'll try online). I think that if Lance Armstrong spent most of his adult life rationalizing his behaviour and he may still feel justified and doing what he did to cement his dominance of the sport. Or maybe he's a psychpath who is incapable to express any type of emotion.

Me thinks Lance and Barry Bonds are two peas in a pod.

Agree 500%. Actually Slate ran a piece saying essentially the same before the interview even aired. I think a lot of ppl already felt this way (myself included).
