This isn't the best pic but I got gel nail polish done...

It looked absolutely fabulous BUT it didn't last any longer than a regular manicure, for me. I got it for free from a new salon that was advertising on Twitter, but I don't think I'd pay to get it done.

Also looking at this picture has reminded me that I left that ring somewhere in London...

This was inspired by Kelly Osborne's 250k$ manicure. I created this polish by mixing up some black polish with a clear based pink sparkle polish. And because this is Halloween weekend I topped it with a mat finish topcoat. It reminds me of honed granit. The cussing you will hear on Sunday evening is me chiselling the sparkles off my nails.

Best method I've found so far to remove glitter polish: Soak up cotton balls with polish remover, place one on each nail, then wrap the cotton balls with a piece of aluminium foil to keep it in place. Leave it on for about 5 mins then twist off. I had to repeat that a couple of times for some fingers but it beats scraping the glitters off.
