You won't be sorry with the original iPad if you got it at a good price. I sold mine to my cousin earlier this year and she loves it. It is frozen at iOS 5 though. Any iPad is better than most of what is on the market, IMO. They are really well made devices.



Too bad you didn't snag an iPad 2 instead because with the new Mini, that model will be supported for a long time.

My husband just bought me my very first iPad. ( his family has been working my nerves and he has come to the conclusion that he can buy my compliance. Ha)

I'm a PC / android girl, but there is an app called Rehearsal, the app that would be a huge help in my career and it's only for Apple.

I'm prolonging starting the device. I enjoy the anticipation.

For as long as I live I dont foresee me ever purchasing another windows made device.

Back on topic.... I had an Ipad 2, sold it at Game Stop, (they offer more money than even Apple), was able to find a 16gb mini (which is dang near impossible especially in black slate), got them to hold it for me and drove my butt out to pick it up from a Target in the sticks.

I have to say I love it! I'll be traveling twice in the next 3 weeks and am so glad I have this new, smaller version. Its lighter, much easier to hold and less showy or attention demanding as its lower counterpart.

I picked up a case the following day from Best Buy and am pretty happy.

Yes it would have been nice if they would have given the dang thing the retina display and all but, it has the new OS , Siri, etc so I'm happy.

And no initially I didnt plan to purchase another iPad until maybe next year, but when I heard the price point, saw that the mini wasnt just another rumor, and saw how little I would have to come out of pocket after my trade in, I said why not.

I got at $300 for a 64g wifi and 3g plus case, keyboard and camera accessories. Not bad in my opinion compared to refurb, ebay and craigslist. I plan to keep for a year and then move on. But then if its still awesome (IMO) maybe I will just stick with it. I get my iPhone 5 next month and my new nano sooooo I am not at all mad my iPad isnt the latest...my apple products are...i think i can deal these are my first apple products sans my 5 year old ipod that i am replacing...all i can say is I am in love.

Fuesha - I wanted the mini...but i just couldnt wait and decided i could do my homework much better on the bigger screen. I may get one in "addition to" in a year though...I am glad you love it

My mini just came in. I love it. Now, I can devote my ipad 3 to work only and write it off on my taxes. I'm enjoying the fact that there is NO work related things on this ipad.

I got a keyboard for my iPad ! With case love it! Big lots reg price $40 Big Lots price $35 on sale $29.99 plus additional $5 off at counter = SCORE! Only proble it does not want to work with is app for NP all other apps seem to work just fine.

Ok I'm glad I found this thread....I just got an iPad from work (my boss just bought 13 of them for our department) and am slowly getting into it. I'm a G+ girl and I'm glad that it has that on there. I can see alternating me life between windows and Apple/iPad...

I'm kind of mad that he bought me one though because I can see myself buying another one in the near future lol...how long do these things last?

^^^They last as long as you'd like them to. Some people like to upgrade as soon as the latest version comes out (which can be as soon as 6 months to 2 years depending on the apple product). I like to hold on to my gadgets until they either stop being supported or until I lose or break them, lol.
