Years ago I had this really cheap basic business card software paid 9.99 for it. Did business card ,brochures, post cards ,stationary everything very basic and match sets I let someone borrow it and now it would be the perfect thing for what I need and I never got it back from the person! I have looked at other software and can't find any that does the simple basic like that one did. Sigh

My year started off crazy--- the day after my husband and I came back from our anniversary cruise, my mother passed away. I'm inheriting half her house, a very very old house in a great neighborhood. It has been my dream to do what so many people have come into my old neighborhood and done. I want to tear down the old 2-family, and build a 6 unit apartment building. My sister's kids (all adults), who inherited the other half of the house, are living there now rent free, as they have for the past year or so. I know they need a place to live, survival is hard these days and none of them is working. I am conflicted. I know I can't afford to keep the place going by myself. If I choose to sell the place, they won't benefit, because their share would go into a trust fund. Also, some other lovely person would buy it and fulfill my dream. Any input would be welcome!

Good evening. I just came upon this post.
Sounds to me like one of those scenarios where a certain resolution/status quo was expected by the elderly property owner - and now that s/he has gone home,
the conflicting interests of each party have come to the surface. Therefore, all involved parties (in this case, you versus each of your nephews/nieces) needs to hire their own attorney.

Is this the latest iteration of the random entrepreneur thoughts?
I have a quick question for ladies who are sole proprietors with no employees (freelances, consultants, etc): how soon did you start a separate business account and how do you determine how much to "pay" yourself?
I'm hosting a conference and I think it is wise to have all the expenses and any income flowing from a business account rather than my personal finances.
