Default A Cup of Freshly Brewed Nappy Thoughts

    Carry on, ladies!

Loving my self-done kinky twists. I was dead tired when I finished. I can almost see why many places charge $150+

I do mine in 2 days; first the perimeter and then the middle, which seemingly never ends....ugh if my head was any bigger...

Updo for the next two days, puff on Thursday for dance class, then deep condition and right into twists on Friday. That's the plan, and I'm sticking to it.

Lately, some of my AA students have been coming to me for help with their hair. Today, a seventh grader threw up her hands in the air in the middle of my class and exclaimed "Mrs. OHR, please help me!!". I ain't goT time to teach pre algebra, learn the common core AND show girls how to do two strand twists...I'm gonna give her some website addys to get her started.

Did a wash n'go 3 days ago that turned into a dry HAM . Then today I go to buy some dang conditioner (because I only have old crap I'd stopped using, and somehow it got left in the store. Are you kidding me!?! So I ended up cowashing with SM Thickening Condish with a bit of molasses and CO thrown in. It did nothing for my hair, so I applied some CO and threw it into a braid.

Now I'm caught between going back to PJ ways or giving up condish and poo and being a minimalist.

Right there with you. Finally washed today and honestly I am tempted to just shave it off. My hair is so clumped and matted together! A few months ago, I said I was not going to allow my hair to get to this point again but here I am and I think it's worse this time.

I do believe this will be my year to lock. Even though I'll be done with school soon and have more time, I just don't have the desire to do my hair anymore.

Every time I move I have to start from scratch! Turns out vegetable glycerin was my moisture holy grail in humid Nashville. Does it work in dry *** France? Nooooo. My hair is back to crispy crunchy status and nothing is working! *scream*
