Default Hair cream with no humectants

Because of the tendency of my hair to frizz and swell on an almost daily basis, I have been looking for a hair styling cream that's not water based, and without humectants, and I've had no luck. I really need something that will seal OUT extra moisture, while keeping my previously applied moisture sealed in. So I am going to try to mix up a hair butter using Crisco and Shea Butter.

Any suggestions for other oils or ingredients to add - that don't have humectant properties?

Apricot oil- feels really silky going on the hair, and leaves hair sheeny as well as soft.
Safflower seed oil- I believe it has polyunsaturated fatty acid chains, these are rather large and are unable to penetrate the hair shaft making it a good sealant. This is also true of sunflower oil, I believe. These are also remarkably stable oils which make them great additives to any emulsion. They also contain ceramides which contribute to the elasticity of the hair shaft, so it is win-win-win.
Palm oil is also an awesome sealant that will aid in calming frizz as well as in the styling of hair.
Argan oil is also said to calm down as well as prevent frizz.
Jojoba oil- since it is a liquid wax, will calm down frizz seal in moisture and guard against external moisture.

Appreciate those suggestions hivierhair! Got plenty of sunflower oil, and some jojoba to add. And since the Crisco contains palm oil, I'm feeling pretty good about mixing it up this weekend!

I just MIGHT go out and purchase some argan oil to add as well, because I've heard so many good things about it.

The oil from the argan nut halts the overproduction of sebum. When the oil is used everyday on the skin, it will help to return to the proper balance of sebum. This helps to open up the pores and lessen acne breakouts. Within weeks, a user will notice a definite improvement on the skin's overall appearance.
