    Nobody needs to oil or grease their scalp. It's just like putting oil or grease on your face. What needs oil and to be moisturized is the hair as that is what gets dry and brittle and then breaks off. The hair being sufficiently oiled and moisturized means the scalp will be sufficiently oiled and moisturized as well. But you don't need to grease the scalp directly.

    My hair doesn't like oil. At. All. Oil is not the same as moisture.
    It's Cheap to be Pank. Come to the Pank Side.

    Oil acts a sealant for moisture. Some people call it a moisturizer or any hair dressing that is applied to the hair.

    Yeah I know. I'm saying not all hair agrees with oil. My hair prefers vegetable cellulose (aloe Vera gelly, flaxseed gel) as a sealant. My hair is more wirey than cottony and oil (& oil based products) makes it feel crispy where gels do not. It's a fallacy that all hair likes/needs oils.
