    So... I'm having dryness issues with my hair, and scalp buildup. I think I need to wash it again, do a nice deep co-wash, and definitely start drinking more water and going outside fore more exercising.

    @KreativeKoils

    If I have dryness AND scalp buildup I tend to use a sulfate free moisturizing shampoo just to know I am starting from a clean slate before doing a moisturizing deep condition. Since the weather is warming up where I live yoga in the park is definitely going to become a regular activity so the exercise bug has bit me too.

    I'm sooo glad that I was able to get that buildup out this morning. I don't have time to undo these cornrows until after final exams.

    Thank you for the tip HiverHair!

    My shampoo is super duper sulfate heavy, it's Dominican, and it usually strips EVERYTHING, but I think I'm not drinking enough water because my lips are also super dry. I'm thinking of cutting all non fruit and food related sugars out my diet, save the few teaspoons for my coffee

    I use Creme of Nature Argan Oil Moisture Shine Shampoo. Its 4.99 at the beauty supply store. It is so moisturizing that I can detangle while it is still in yet it effectively cleans all the gunk off my scalp.
    Its dry out so I'm not surprised that your lips are dry. (So are mine!!!) I have been using straight Vaseline on my lips its that bad. I live in New York and the weather here is no joke.
    Cutting out sugar is a healthy option in my opinion. I am trying to make healthy choices also (its not easy...).
    Thank you to whoever panked me!!

    I think that when I get some money, or a job, I'm going to switch to using African Black soap for my skin and hair. My scalp has been so flaky and dry, and eczema is popping up on it. I'm really not feeling this, so I really want to clear that up.
