Nope, never heard of it, has it worked well for you?

I'm just going to go to 125 (I'm a New Yorker) and buy some from the dude I get my shea butter from

I ended up doing a sugar scrub shampoo for my scalp... and it's worked wonders! All the buildup was gone, and I think I have to spritz and mouisturize my twists daily with some plain ole oils. I have to keep this summer scalp together LOL

^ I always wondered about a sugar scrub for the scalp. I thought it would be too damaging for the hair right at the scalp. Did you notice any damage?

I haven't really been doing much protective styling until about a few weeks ago.
I had box-sorta braids (no extensions) and hair buns.

The buns are quicker and my new knot today discovery will help my hair survive.

I use Godiva shampoo bar from Lush and Jungle solid conditioner (from Lush, also).

    okay my updates...

i'm back in mini braids. for like jan-march i was doing medium or very large braids. i relied on a lot of scarfs.

i've been sticking with the same products and haven't been experimenting. product junkie days have come to a halt (although when i do get me some money i have to try camille rose and oyin. and if i can get my hands on some of the new shea moist stuff, i will try that). i have found my regimen and holy grails that work. so i'm good on that with the external hair care.

the internal has definitely a primary focus since i have the external on lock. i have been taking my vitamins religiously. i drink nothing but water. upping the greens, fruits and whole grains. cut eating out in the streets and cooking for myself. exercising damn near every day (right now i'm doing the 30 day shred). just trying to be consistent.

so everything is on the up and up.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]just want to say thanks to my angel whoever you are. thanks for making me pretty in pank

Yo I beez bloggin' check me at vivalaunderdog.tumblr.com (I finally made it happen).

Ok guys, I'm on the brink. Just when I get a nice shaggy fro going and I have my wash and detangling all sorted out. Just when I have headbands in every color and a million bobby pins and clamps at hand. That's when I feel like I need to shave it off! And then the same thing happens in reverse. Just when I use up all my cool home remedies and all the storebought stylers I wanted to try. When I can't find a single clip and I'm out of conditioner. That's when I feel like I want to grow it out.

I just got my sprangz and a coupon for Lush. not gonna cut not gonna cut not gonna cut

I did a french twist today! I couldn't get all of my hair in, too short, so I had four flat twists around my edges. I'm so happy! An updo that won't break my hair with elastics. So much frustration gone! I think I can ride out the urge to cut now.

The sugar scrub is AMAZING! I'm actually going to do another one today. It's not damaging, and it rinses out. I just noticed positives. I adore it, it's my new staple

Hmm, I might try that if I have enough time one day. My scalp needs some TLC.
@fuzzy_slippers: Glad you found something to make you happy. The urge to cut can be so strong sometimes. I felt it too when I was looking at some of my progress pictures a while back.

I didn't realize how long I had my cornrows in. In fact I had to check back in these threads to see when I posted.... Going on my twelfth week now... Sigh, just one more exam and I can do whatever I want. Detangling will be interesting.

I've been wearing buns for the past 7 weeks due to work (two jobs), class and now finals. I have not detangled at all in those 6 weeks. My hair has never been out this long without being detangled. I'm scurred.
