*waves at Phunkie* The most I've done are chondroitin and glucosamine caps...and I don't see any positive benefits. In my workouts, I do a lot to strengthen the knee area, which has been helpful.

Still doing the green smoothies and chiropractic visits. I tell ya, those smoothies do help dampen my hunger AND the added *ahem* benefits to my digestion. More energy too.
Just received my blood work results. Total cholesterol number = 179! Even the nurse that called me with the results asked me how in the world did I manage that??? The one area of focus is to tweak my diet a bit more...seems my blood sugar was a 'tad' elevated.
Just added stress lowering meditation to the mix.

I started going to the chiropractor 4 weeks ago, for back adjustments, due to extra weight of pregnancy. In general, I've always been apprehensive about chiropractors, but my PCP/OB could not provide a solution to my back pain and basically said I must deal with it until I labor. I must say, the adjustments help! Not only with the pain, but digestion, posture (I feel tall, all 5'4 of me! lol), and overall well-being. I am a naturally "tense" person, and she's still breaking me down in the shoulder & back area. She first touched me and asked, "What do YOU do for a living?!"
I've had bum knees in the past and strengthening those side muscles (idk what they're called) that support the knee really helps . In retrospect, many years of poor posture probably contributed to my knees. I know I need to get back to my smoothies too!

Whats the cost of a chiropractic session? Do you guys notice long term difference or just short term?

Re: Alternate Health/Wellness Care: Chiropractic Therapy
I forgot how much I bought for the chiropractic care package, which included an assessment, treatment, and a follow up assessment, but I went for about 5-ish months twice a week (it was a commitment, for sure) and I can definitely say that there were positive changes. The chiropractor gave me a program to follow at home, and I didn't really do it... but his work was still effective. Now I pay $70/month for two sessions/month. He recommended supplements for me as well.
