    Default You're Nappy, I'm Random, Let's Share Out Thoughts!

    Could it be that I'm actually wearing a fluffy twist out as opposed to the limp twist out from two weeks ago...? Pics to come.

    Here is my twist out. Looks better than I thought it would. All I did was rinse, add a leave-in (Giovanni), styler (Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha for hold) and sealed with my shea butter mix. It feels soft and it's not weighed down surprisingly. It's got bounce and fluff. So......I guess I can wear twist outs after all. Lol

    Everytime I let myself get to this level of needing to detangle, I say "never again...."

    Sigh.

    EDIT: Mikalia42 - your hair looks great!

    Thanks ladies. Unfortunately, I sweated the whole thing out in a dance workshop yesterday, so no Day 2 twist out today. Which is okay, because at least I know I can wear a twist out on occasion and found a product combination for it that works.

    @ Milkalia42 - Great Hair!

    @ Soul Rebel - that is my mantra. and yet, I still find myself in that same horrid detangling drama. Eversince I kept reading about people detangling LOCS, I have slowed my roll about the patience needed.

    I am really thinking about a cut. I am always happiest with my hair at about the 10-month mark [after a big chop.]

    I love my coils and such with my new improved hairstyling technique, and I keep wondering if more texture, definition and coily fun would be had with about 5 inches cut.

    Instead of looking like a blooming flower [like at 10 months, MAX 12 months] and now resembles a drooped mushroom, LOL. {i am at 1.5 years now...}

    It's hard for me to get BIG hair at this length.

    BUT...I don't know any one who could really cut it and keep it healthy.

    it isn't like cutting straight hair, and the last time I got it done...while the end result was great, I felt like I was a kid again, screaming while momma had to work that comb through that mass of nappy hair.

    Braid out or flat twist out? I can't decide....

    Bought another jar of the Shea Moisture Raw Black Soap Purification Masque. One of the best deep conditioners I've ever used.

    I got my order from Shescentit!!! I also managed to get awesome second day naked hair . It's soft, moisturized, and fluffy from the oil I sealed with yesterday and the little bit of oil I added. It's amazing what a good conditioner can do.

    Well it was not pleasant but I am a much happier human being now that my hair is detangled and conditioned and did a clarifying shampoo and the whole Johnson.
