Hmmm, my last post was 3 months ago......yup I still feel the same. lol.
I can tell that my locs are getting some length to them. I know hair grows, but it's always a sweet surprise for me this early in the game.

I'm over 7 years. So far I haven't combined as much as I planned. I've only combined maybe half a dozen locs since the first thread started.but I still see my locks as permanent. No (serious) urge to remove them.

I am 8 years into locking and I have no desire to cut them out or start a new set. My locks have been through some good and bad times but they are still growing and happy since I switched up my regimen. I already know deep in my heart I will die with me dreaddies they are apart of me as if they were my own child. :-)
TO BE LOCKED IS TO BE FREE!!!!

I can definitely see myself going 10 years and beyond with this being my very first (and only) set of locs exactly 25 months old.

Hi.I plan to remain locked this side of heaven.I never liked the discomfort of combing through my hair in it's natural loose state so the idea of staying locked is all I can imagine for me at this point.I would hope they stay in style and fasionable.I'd hate to be alone with my locs.I don't mind standing out but not going for entirely standing alone.Like many that held on to their Jeri curls no matter what happened in the hair world. My second choice will be a TWA.Hopefully my stressed out edges from too much gel and creamy crack will be healthy by then.Thinking about it though locs have always been around. They are just more mainstream now.I think moreso then ever before.

Hi.I started out with teeny tiny locks and have been combining after the 3rd month.I want to combine more but will wait to see how they transform after year 3.I don't want them to swell and then be larger then I would prefer either.I like the size most of my loccs are now.I was not able to maintain my grid which is a lot of what you pay for with SL's.I would rather have larger locs then a perfect grid though.I was not going to throw all that money away by starting over.I have my middle part and my straight across from ear to ear because. The other styles that I would use perfect parts for Are too teeny bopper for me at this point so not too big a deal for me.Your locs look very full and healthy.Happy journey to you.Blessings.

I have been doing some Weird things to keep my edges looking healthy...like not retightening and using a rubberband at the base. As crazy as it seems, it's working! lol
I can tell this is going to be a long and crazy journey, but I told myself no matter what happens to them they are Staying! This same set! lol I don't care if I have to loosen and rock baby locs around my edges, these puppies aren't moving!
I haven't really had any serious issues though and I am still so in love despite my recent urge to yank a dragon out the other day. haha Instead, I wrapped it in gold extensions so it would feel special.~Live each moment of your life; Laugh just for the hell of it; Love everyone.~

I cut some of my dragons to help with the weight of my hair.
I am considering "free-forming" through the winter months.http://www.Queenlocks.com

I entered into this challenge with the intention of combining my SLs over time to allow me to deal with the weight by clipping of two headed dragons. At the seven years I've combined only about a dozen or so since the first combining run which took them from 635 to about 550. I really need to combine a decent amount as the weight is now an issue if my hair is wet and I need around 6" of growth to be able to handle them with ease.
(I keep about 3" of one of the locs, work the hair loose and latch it into the remaining loc)
All my original two headed dragons have now been clipped and latched into singledom, so that's some progress however small.
The good news is that the regular desire to chop, that plagued me for the first 3 or 4 years, rarely raises it head these days.
