I was 9 years in july, so less than a year to go for my decade. I've combined some, but not as much a I intended/thought to combine. I'm still happy to be locked, so I see no issues with making the decade. I'll have to count them then to see how many I have at that point. I started out with 635, combined down to about 530 and have combined a few from time to time since.

I just haven't bothered to combine across the whole head as I thought I would.

August is 9 yrs. One more for the 10 year challenge. I have at this time no intention of de-locking, although I do sometimes think of a trim or cut.

Ok so what was I thinking. I was talking with my daughter who is locked..April will be a year and I am 10 years in, not 9. At any rate still happy with my locks and ready to re commit to them. Right now I can say I am dreadlocked for life.

I've just realised I made 10 years about 3 weeks ago. I'm still in no hurry to change from locs. I've not been around for a while, but still locking strong. I haven't combined as many locs as I originally planned, but I'm happy with them as they are.

Update! 3 yrs this week!!! I made it (again). So, I made my first milestone with this second set (SLs). Now, I've been locked 10 yrs, started in 2006 with my BLs. Whoa!

The next one is year 5, just bc it's an age milestone for me-5.0. I do want to be open to whoever the crap I want to be at that stage of the game. I may want to shed my security blanket of locs and be bold n free. I may want to shave it in an asymmetrical cut, fro it out or cut it down. I don't know and it feels great to embrace the freedom of that choice- after my rigid youthful days.

i still will be a silver fox, embracing my silver streaks no matter what the style.so far, I have that off center Eddie Muster streak goin on and lovin it.....

Congrates on your second three years.

You're going the opposite way to me. In my youth I chopped and changed, coloured and cut to my hearts content. Now I'm just latching way and letting it do what it's doing. Some days I want to change things up, but never do anything about it. though I use henna on it so it's a dark rust colour.

I always planned to let my greys come in, but I'm finding I keep on adding the henna when they come through, so I have red sparkles scattered throughout the dark rust colour.]

Your hair's looking great as always.

Was 10 years back in March, but did a cut down to really short back in July of 2015. Letting them grow out again.
