That wonderful moment when you look in the mirror in the restroom, and "love" what you see!
Yeah, me this morning with my crinkled locs!

The longer my locs become the worse my "hand in locs" disease becomes...lol.

Not impressed, smells nice but not strong enough in lifting the dirt. I did not wash my locs for 3 weeks to get them mega dirty. Tried Avalon shampoo on the first wash, the water was clear, tried my regular Fantasia IC Pure Tea shampoo, the water went murky which it normally does, so will stick to Fantasia.

Is it possibly because it was the first wash? One lady here said it cleaned her locs quite harshly. I must say Fantasia IC Tea is skrong lol. Thanks for the info, may have just saved myself 5.99. I discovered two stores not far from me (within 10 mins) that stock Dr Bronner's and J.A.S.O.N... saving up money to try

Yes that stuff is strong, just checked the ingredients, ALS is the second one after water...no wonder it works lol
With Fantasia IC even on the first wash the water is murky so the Avalon is not strong enough for me. Present routine is Fantasia for two washes then Jason's Aloe Vera on the third wash. I do this once a month or if I have not washed my locs for 3 weeks. When not clarifying I use Jasons. I'll give a bottle of Avalon away if anyone wants to try it.

I absolutely love my new set of locs! I always knew locs were the way to go for me as soon as I started transitioning. This time, I'm gonna take care of them the right way. I can't wait to see how they will look as time progresses!

why did i use carol's daughter after knowing how bad product build up is.
    i repeat
why did i use carol's daughter after knowing how bad product build up is.

i did everything i could with these locs, but they still have build up. i realize that i will have to do these treatments several times, so i am officially wrapping up these locs with a scarf. i can't stand to look at them. they make me so sad.

i have tried: degrease soap, hot water, peppermint soap, acv + baking soda, etc.

and 2 washes didn't clean it up, thats how much build up is in there! yuck yuck yuck. this is that loc shame - when you know you messed up with your locs and you're afraid to admit it because of all the stereotypes about locs/natural hair.....yeah i'ma keep these locs to myself.
