My cat is soooo playful. When I'm walking around the house, especially at night, he'll run ahead of me and hide behind the sofa and then jump up and attack my leg Lol!!

It's funny but not when I'm rushing or late and he wants to keep jumping on my leg, Lol! But I'm glad he's a playful and active cat.

I once read that if a cat's claws are trimmed very close to the quick at frequent intervals, they will eventually stay very short.
It is key to get your pet used to at-home claw-trims while it is a kitten; otherwise end up like my household: needing to go to the veterinarian to have it done.
We didn't aim for this initially, but now I have some serious redecorating projects in mind, so will insist that my son [he wanted the cat] keep up the vet schedule if he wants to keep the animal -
because of course we have ended up with scratches when the cat was younger, and cat-torn furniture/carpets/screens are ongoing issues.
Apart from that, our cat is a wonderful pet.

I'm determined to get a cat. We'll see if I follow through.

My dog has an allergy to a protein, but I don't know which one. I thought it was chicken and it appears to be it, but everything has some chicken in some form, in it. I feel bad when he runs his face along surfaces trying to scratch his gums. He eats soft food only, but it contains chicken. I feed it to him because he likes it, but then scratches. Vet says weeding out proteins will take 2 months at a time to figure it out. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has a bad habit with chewing things that shouldn't be chewed. Im exhausted from chasing him down with stuff. Blah!

Our cat, Sherbert: OMG! It moves, it must be a toy!! pounce
OMG! It's on the floor, it must be a toy!! pounce
OMG!! It's four feet above me, on a shelf, in a box, it must be a toy!! climb, pounce

And where do they get the energy to literally bounce off the walls at 3am?? Every night??!!??

It's been 17 days since you died in my arms and the pain wont go away.
I have to pick up your ashes tomorrow from the vet and I feel the tears coming back
I've received so much love from friends and family, who knew a little 8 yr old rabbit could mean so much to everyone
You were my baby since I brought you home in a shoe box when you were 2 months old.
    I wish you were here.
    I miss you.
To my "Pank Guardian Angel"- Thank you for making me pank!!!!!

Thankfully declawing is illegal in GB, the trick is get a scratch post or let Queen or King Feline use some old furniture to scratch up.

Came home last night after a couple of days at my sister's only to find my old Napoleon stiff on my couch Google suggests it was probably a heart attack or a blood clot and apparently it's a common thing that happens with cats. As much as I loved him though I can't fathom the amount charge by the pet disposal company so I called the city who will take care of him. Hopefully when I go my body will be disposed of in a more dignified way.

So right now I'm down to my tabby Waterloo. So far I had named my cats based on Napoleon but if, ok more like when, I get another cat, I will be picking names from ABBA's song titles.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Karibana! I know that was so heartbreaking to come home to find your feline baby passed away. HUGS to you and Waterloo.
