I think I prefer to use EVCO to detangle. It seems to work soo much better then conditioner or water...or the combination both and my hands or less pruning not to mention my hair to be super soft EVCO deep condition

Did all of my detangling in the shower after my workout this morning. Didn't have time to do the full dry detangling with oil before the shower, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. Probably because my hair was loaded with product after going 3 weeks since last full wash.

How is everyone else doing? Thinking of you, Dee

No-Combing is still no-combing for me! Even with this super short cut I am still not combing. I do use a soft bristled brush on the back and sides (not much hair there) but the top I will see how things go. I am still shedding so I don't know how short it will eventually get on top...

I am going to try this. I think my hair will benefit from it. We'll see!

It's nice to see someone validate what I have known FOR YEARS in regards to my hair. IT. WILL. CLUMP. UP. Period. No mater how much I do to it, I'm going to have "marrying sections", as one poster stated. With that said, I think the no comb thing is just best for my hair and I don't have any issues with it. I'm glad to see others doing the same thing. Now I don't feel as weird.

I fell off the wagon guys. I don't comb regularly but I have noticed I need to sometimes at this point in my journey. I was leaving far too much shed hair behind and I had to use a comb to get it all out. I think I am going to be using a comb every two months but really it depends on how fast shed hair builds up in my hair. The little hairs were causing terrible knots so I finger detangled to get them loose and then used the comb to slide all of them out. I still don't believe in using a comb as the main detangling method, but it looks like after two years I cant rely on finger detangling as my sole method either.
Thank you to whoever panked me!!

Its been almost 2 1/2 months since I combed and so far so good. I used a comb once about a week ago for parting (was doing two strand twists) but this time around I find that its easier and faster without the comb, although parts not very neat (twists are small though). Overall I find I keep more hair on my head with the no combing even finger detangling can make me impatient at times (especially today since my hair was more tangled than usual). Probably should have done no combing years ago but wasn't patient enough for it.

I had to get rid of some shed hair. I couldn't part for my twists. o.O I am pleased with the results from the challenge so far though. I'm losing less hair while detangling, washing, and styling by using just my hands. So besides the "de-shedding" session in the shower yesterday, I'm still in!

I didn't comb my hair for 6 weeks and I noticed the hair was happy. Good way to retain length, am not sure I can permanently give up the comb, I ALOT of dead hair in there!! but I will finger comb and only comb when am putting twists in (i,e to help part the hair etc) and I will extend the no comb time to 2-3 months.

    Am definitely in.
