seriously though this is 2013 not 1013 i certainly hope people dont need to be told to sterilize stuff they put near their eyeballs or any other orifices before they will do it but then again you never know. good call out though considering how long some people keep their makeup in general.
i was just talking to a friend of mine who asked if i thought she should sill be using some lip gloss she's only had for 4 months even though it started to smell bad a few weeks ago i was like if your makeup is starting to smell bad a)you've probably had it longer than 4 months and b) DONT PUT IT ON YOUR FACE!!!

    girl people DO!!!

True Story One - I was on a Fashion Show recently where one artist did not have disp wands and just used straight out of the tube on 3 models in a row and would have kept going but the 4th model complained and the Key pulled Miss Dirty Bird Artist off the line. (this was a major NYFW show)

True Story Two - I was in a Sephora and saw a girl pull a wand straight out the tester and onto her eye.

    I died inside both times.

For Anyone Who May Not Know: Wash with hot soapy water, let air dry completely (water will make the mascara go bad more quickly), wipe with alcohol, let air dry, then the wand is ready to re-use.

This is a good reminder to wash my brushes. I was religious about it before but now I only wash my gel eyeliner brushes to remove the gunk. I sometimes liberate tester brushes at Sephora because not all stores have spares.

^Correct. I used it all up and didn't purchase it again. It broke off my lashes . The ish was too harsh. It did give length but it wasn't worth it in the long run for me.

I'm currently rotating between two Maybelline mascaras (Great Lash in Brownish Black and Full N' Soft in Brownish Black) and Ulta's Voluptuous Volume. I find myself reaching for the Great Lash the most. (Possibly due to the pink packaging catching my eye more). I don't see much difference in the three formulas, and I tend to curl my lashes or dust on some baby powder before I put on mascara. I would say my lashes are pretty normal in length, the mascaras I'm using now definitely elongate them.

My staple is Maybelline Falsies Volume Express. I use it in my kit as well as on myself. It gives me great length and pimps out my lashes quite nicely ;-)

    ^^^
I don't use makeup regularly. But for a special occasion, I use Maybelline Great Lash.

I swore by the Beneful Bad Gal Lash.....until I couldn't wear it anymore because it irritated my eyes to hell and back. Now I use Korres (thanks to the ladies who recommended it in the First World Problems thread ). I scored a sample with my Sephora card, will be buying a full size tube this weekend.
