Can some of you point me to resources re vegetarian cooking? I'll find some on my own too but since you all are self-proclaimed vegetarians and vegans, I'm hoping you can share what you know.
My poor boyfriend had an attack of acute pacreatitus that put him in the hospital, and he's now on a bland diet. He's also always been health conscious about his food, but he made a batch of veggie soup today that he was complaining was too bland. I know there are ways to kick it up. For my serving, I threw in Cajun spice and a dash of liquid smoke. That stuff is too heavy for him right now and I'm not even sure if smoke is vegetarian (I think it is though), so I'm hoping that there are maybe some tricks out there beyond moving to a meat stock base for the soup which I know isn't his preference.

I burnt the cumin seeds LMBO!! The first step is heating oil then putting in the cumin seeds had to oil way to hot and burnt them lol!! My house stunk for days.
Anyway I tried it again the other day and came out perfect !!!
This was the Chana Masala with rice pilaf and naan bread. I did not make the bread or the rice.
Glad you like my meal ideas I felt stuck when I was a vegetarian before this time I am learning lots of new options .

I made this Vegetarian Caribbean stew and it is really simple and really good. I used collards instead of cabbage.

Re: Vegetarians/Vegans come on in!
Im vegetarian and transition to vegan. I can say since doing this I have never left so good, like my whole body I can tell the change. It helped alot, my over all energy, my anxiety and panic attacks have gone and my period are very light with either small or no cramps. with me I dont see it as a diet i see it as a way of life and not only that, but to learn what it was doing to the animals to see them suffer. anyway. thats my two cents.
