I'm all for affordable beauty products. But sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

So I'm pretty certain the biotin pills have helped my nails grow faster, I now have a serious set of claws on my fingers after a month of taking them. As for being stronger, I have a few months to go before I'll know for sure.

I'm glad that more people are using YT to help step up their makeup game but at the same time I almost feel like it's leading to an overall...dragificaction (not a real word but I'm using it anyway) of makeup. Like, on one hand pretty much anything we wear could be considered drag because we all play different roles in our lives and dress for the "part" (or many people at least try to). Also, grown folks are always free to define and cultivate their personal aesthetic as they see fit. At the same time I wonder what this trend toward hyper-painted faces and hyper styled hair/wigs/weaves speaks to sociologically and culturally. Beyond personal preferences what makes this specific type of drag good (or possibly even necessary) for the times we live in?

*two thumbs up* @ the (non) word "dragification." I like I'm also partial to "dragified".

I'm curious about this as well. Especially from the stand point of not being able to be seen on YT or in public without the super beat face. I respect people's choice to present themselves to the world as they see fit but I also wonder if being in constant "super drag" mode has any affect on the psyche and causes insecurity at the conscious and/or subconscious level.

Listerine and vinegar make the strangest foot soak solution I've ever tried but it works like a charm. The vinegar smell doesn't last long on the ski, thanfully. I wouldn't use it on tired feet but it's good for making skin easier to slough off.

Oh yea, agreed on the dragification. I don't wear makeup on a daily or even weekly basis, so I'm always amazed at these women who get up so early just to spend that much time on their faces. It's bizarre to me. It's daylight- why do you need false eyelashes, full smoky eye, and red lips? You look like a lady of the evening, at the very least. To me it's all part and parcel of the growing commidification of women. These women feel no one will take them seriously if they don't look super gorge on YT or even the street. And I have to say there's something to that mentality. I see a huge difference in the way people treat me when I all dressed up and made up vs. when I'm casual.
