Hair is finally dry, let's see how it feels tomorrow and if it's still moisturized...

I've gotten so used to not doing styles that my scalp is ultra sensitive. Sleeping in braids the other night was not good. Bantu knots were better. I'll have to experiment to see what my head can tolerate. This reminds me of the old days of sleeping in hard rollers.

I think I'll do crochet twists instead of normal ones so that it'll be easier to reuse the hair (if I'm inclined to do so). I don't know how many packs of hair I need though. Maybe 3? I have kind of a big head but since I'm doing crochet I know I won't need many.

Day 4 with these twists. Been keeping them stretched by braiding them into two huge plaits every night. I'll wear a (limp) twistout on Wednesday, rinse/wash on Thursday, repeat on Friday.

Don't want me to cut my hair...well then you need to start funding trips to the salon.

Trying to listen to my hair's needs, (her name is Grace lol) she LOVES Coconut oil, loves weekly deep treatments, she can take protein but only once a month, she loves cowashes two times a week and she MUST be sealed with oil when styling!

    So far so good!

Each time I go to scratch an itch in my head my fingers either hit a braid or a bobby pin. Darn protective styling

Got another long day tomorrow, so these twists are just going to stay in until Friday. A full week with twists. Mission accomplished. Not sure if I can go an entire week with twists in again; while I've been keeping them stretched, they still start to look pretty busted by Day 4. Oh well. Glad to say my hair's stayed moisturized for all seven days; Giovanni Direct Leave-In and my whipped shea mix FOR THE WIN.

I see that nothing has changed when it comes to loose extensions for kinky twists versus loose braid hair. I guess I'm the only person on the planet who would buy twist hair in colors like 6, 8, and 10 if some company would make it. But they don't make it, so my only choices are natural shades that bore me or Crayola colors that I don't want to wear.
