Default Urban Fantasy with a black lead

Can anyone please recommend some urban fantasy authors where the lead character is black?

L.A Banks(rip) is the only series that I can think of at the moment. I'll do some research and get back to you.

I found this thread on GoodReads: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...rican-heroines

My fave is Octavia Butler, but she's more sci-fi. Fledgling is kind of urban fantasy.

I didn't care for L. A. Banks' Crimson Moon series, so I don't recommend her.

In that thread, I found out about Kenya Wright's Habitat series. I like stories with faeries more than vampires, so I'll pick it up.

Also found Seressia Glass and her two serie ShadowChasers and Sons of Anubis. Not sure if the main characters are black or African American, but the excerpts are a mix of historical and modern afrocentric. Looks good.

What I'm most looking forward to reading is Awake by Wendy Raven McNair. It's a superhero story.

Brandon Massey is my fave for black fantasy/thriller stuff. I've mentioned him several times in this forum .
