Default Only like castor oil..all other oils don't work for me

I have been natural for 8 years. Through my journey I found that the only oil that works for me is castor. I have tried

    coconut
    olive
    jojojoba
    grapeseed

none work, they actually make my hair feel kinda crispy. Is anyone in the same boat and have u found another oil that works o effectively seal.

Hi there! When my hair was loose it liked castor oil the best, also. Now that I'm locked, it seems to like coconut oil. I distinctly remember trying coconut oil on my loose hair, and it felt crispy. It could be that my hair needs more protein now that I am in the pool 6 days a week.

Almond and avocado oils are good. Argan is nice, too.

I also find that coconut oil straight is a no go. Mixed with shea butter, though, it's good.

I just found this out today. Put coconut oil on my hair and it immediately crisped up. The only time my hair is soft when oil is on it is after some type of steam or heat has been applied to my hair. And then, maybe thirty minutes after that, it's back to being dry and hard.
