Dee, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I was going to suggest that you shave your hair, but you've considered it already. Do it! I thought I didn't have the head shape for it and was constantly feeling my head for lumps and bumps. I finally just did it and loved it! You're gorgeous, and if you want to rock a baldie, then you should.

Big hugs to you Dee, I'm so sorry this has happened. Just to echo what everyone else said, you are an extraordinarily beautiful woman and always will be no matter what your hair looks like. Not to downplay the devastating-ness of losing your hair though, that is traumatic no matter what the circumstances (and I'm glad your arm is healing up).

Dee, are you willing to do a BC, your summer is coming soon right? I know you have a lot of hair, but perhaps it would be easier not to have to stress about it shedding so severely. You sound really stressed and with all you have been through you need to lessen the stress for your healing.
If you don't want to BC maybe you can do some braids of some sort.
I'm sorry I don't have any better ideas.
(((hugs)))

Hi.My heart goes out to you and I pray this season in your life will not last for a long time.I think you should do just as you mentioned.Let it rest!Rosemary and sage oils are follicle stimulating oils so I would treat my scalp with those lightly and I would suggest taking a good quality hair supplement.Plenty of water, greens, veggies, fruit and before you know it you will be on the road to recovery.Hope this helps! Blessings

You're doing all the right things. Keep it moisturized, detangled, and in a low-stress protective style for awhile. Taking a break from doing it often will give you some clarity about what steps you should take next.
I agree that it'll be like transitioning again. Either you continue to pamper it and slowly trim the damage off as your hair grows and becomes healthy again, or you throw caution to the wind a cut it short(er) and start over again for there.

Oh wow! I am so sorry to hear I know that has to be upsetting after all the years of dedication you put into your glorious head of hair.
When I had some health things a while ago and I started green juicing every day and that really made a big difference in itself in my hair. But when I added beets to the mix even though I hate beats - like I hate beets lol - but when I adding beets to my juice mixture it seems like the benefits went straight to my hair. My hair got denser, fuller & stronger (hence the past few years I've been able to retain length which with my fine frail fragile hair have never really been able to do) and it was just amazing. So I don't claim to know why - I know beets are super high in vitamins & trace minerals - but anyway it made a big difference for me so I just wanted to share that.
Here's to a full and swift recovery from all of your ailments.

I am sorry to hear this. I pray that your hair will grow back even healthier than it was before. I know the heartbreak of losing one's hair from firsthand experience. Be healed.
