I like to deep condition when I'm wearing braids. Especially when wearing extensions.

Haha, nah. I don't feel right posting pics on the internet.
Having a twa is great, and I feel as though I am learning about my hair all over again. My scalp has never breathed so easily!
Having hair so short, I can see that my hair isn't as dense as I was hoping. It has me a little paranoid that my hair thinned out from the overly-tight braids, but I don't know for sure.

Re: 2013 The Year of Growth and Protection: Third Edition
Update: Super grateful that my mum put in my braids 7 weeks ago. I've been re-braiding since they started to get ragged about 4 weeks in. Realized that I wasn't rebraiding consistently so I decided to section into 4 quarters 3 days ago.
Re-doing each quarter is a two step process. 1st unbraid, fingercomb/detangle with coconut+sesame oil and water+rosewater. Bantu knot each braid section. 2nd undo the bantu knot once it's dry and rebraid. One quarter done so far!----------It is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts - Quran 22:46 ----------

Re: 2013 The Year of Growth and Protection: Third Edition
Update: Back in August I made a couple of promises some of which I've kept up with, some of which I haven't and need to work on.
Need to Work On:
Drinking 2L of water daily (right now I'd say I get that done only 3-4 days of the week, not bad but can be improved on)
monthly deep condish
LOC method - I really need to work on this
trimming regularly - confession: i use sharp paper scissors to trim, i'll either buy some shears or pay for a professional to trim my hair the next time i want to have at my ends
Just gotta keep doing what I'm already doing:
biweekly cowash
protective styles - hair is currently in braids
satin scarf - loooove it, been using it all the time, under my hijab and to sleep
no more leaving in non-leave-in condish - i've substituted all that with oils
finger comb only
minimizing elastic bands, keeping it loose
rinsing hair with cold water----------It is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts - Quran 22:46 ----------
