    Default Random Fitness Thoughts...and Workouts!

    My love handles are melting away slowly but surely. This is the first time wearing low rise skinny jeans and my tummy isn't hanging over the belt.

    Want to get in some more miles today...last time was emabarassing since my hot pink sports bra bled through my shirt right where my boobs were and the sweat underneath made it look like a pink eyed smiley face. Didn't know that till I got home. =/

    I had the most AMAZING workout!!! 2-3/4 mile run. Calisthenics and lifting!!! Then I rode my motorcycle off into the wind feeling free and wonderful

    OAN: a young girl asked me about my workout and if I could give pointers. I was just giving her some fundamentals about proper form, a few exercises for a full body workout three times a week and blah blah blah. Someone she knew walked up and just totally butt in telling her not to use heavy weight and just focus on doing abs stuff and REALLY light weights. WTF. And she works at the gym!!!! Earlier the young lady gave me her email to send her the workout I was describing. So I just walked away and said I will email you. She was very grateful and said that she will be looking for it. I hope that girl doesn't skew her perspective and beliefs on what a woman SHOULD DO in the gym. This makes me want to work harder to achieve my goal to show the young lady what heavy weights and HIIT has done for me. I mean this chick even gave her an amount of time it should take to see certain changes. Omg!!!

    I have a feeling that the advice telling women to only lift light weight will be hard to make go away; much like the advice that when you start locs you can't wash your hair for months.

    Got 8 miles in!! I don't know what I'm gonna do when winter comes around. Hopefully by then I'll be at a weight that I like and can just focus on maintaining it at home or at the gym.

    I hope that girl doesn't have to learn the hard way and takes your advice missfit757.

    So, yesterday was my day 1 of working out during my "mom hours". I went to the gym on my lunch break and got a good 45 minutes of working my upper body. Then after we ate dinner, I went back to the gym while my boys played at the playground (directly in front of the gym) so I could watch them and did 30 minutes of cardio. Not bad. Not bad. My concentration was a little off because I was keeping an eye on the boys, but I still felt the burn and felt good at the end of the day. So tomorrow will be workout 2. I'm going to try to get a full hour at the gym by scheduling a "meeting" and then since we all start karate tomorrow that will be my cardio.

    Gan when it gets cold, layer up & keep moving! At these distances, you're going to be warmed up longer than you're cold I love cold weather running; it's this heat killing me right now.
