    Exclamation Pregnant Locs?????

I'm only on month 2 of my Loc journey and I started them myself with comb twists. I've had a lot of flaking near my hairline (this was never an issue before) so I had to wash my hair several times. Now they look fat in the middle, Even if I retwist them. I don't know if they're budding or not because they're still soft. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it normal???

Locking isn't an exact science. Everybody's hair will do different things. It looks like you have a little bunching. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. Your hair will be going through all types of changes and stages.

Yea! I'm hanging in there. Just getting used to the hair and scalp changes from loose to loc'd.

Ok good! So I'm not alone. I suppose it's just a comb coil thing.

My locs still look like that and I'm 7 months in. I started with two strand twists. The hair is doing what is supposed to do though. I think we see so many photos of locs in the mature stage that it shocks us to see what locs look like in the early stages.

I saw this thread and it is EXACTLY what I am going through right now. I have some SL with fat places on them and it hasn't been a month, yet some of my locs are tightly rolled. I'm going to take y'all's advice and not worry about it. My hair is healthy and clean and so far I love it!
