Im not new to the natural scene , but im tired of my simple afro and mohawk . I want to which my hairstyles up , but i cant really come up with anything . My hair is short but it can be styled. I need any ideas , and can anyone tell me what kind of products i can use in my hair ? .... HELPPP !

Can you flat twist and do that in the front or on the side?

Cornrows with two strand twists is a cute style. Can you post a couple of pics so we can see your hair?

Hi there, I know how it feels to have short natural hair, and have no idea what to do with it. I big chopped and when my hair was short it seemed like I wasn't sure what to do with it, and now my hair is longer, and I still don't know what to do with it. This cycle never ends! Ha Anyway, here are some suggestions...Twist outs, braid outs, straw curls, flat twists, brush it back and add a head band or scarf around your head so that you have a half afro in the back, wash and go, finger curls, and rod set. These are what I can think about off the top of my head. One of your best sources is Youtube. Just put in Youtube TWA or TWA styles and you will be surprised what you come up with. Good luck!

When you say "short" how short are you saying? I agree with those who have suggested twist outs and braid outs, also if you can do them, maybe a bantu-knot out. If you don't know how to flat-twist or cornrow, there are some great tutorials on YouTube for them, but you'll have to really practice (it's been years for me and I can still only do them in the front, LOL)

KinkyCurlyWeave hit the nail right on the head! The best things to do are the different styles she names to give you different texture results to play with. Also accessorizing with headbands and scarves is also good. Pretty clips or barrettes to pin down the sides are cute too!

I definitely have to jump on the accessories bandwagon. A nice scarf, headband or clip can help cut the monotony of short TWA or fro. Plus when you don't feel like doing your hair, tying a scarf over the hair can be really chic.
