So Friday at a formal dinner, my loc bun (more like my bun net) got caught on an officier's shoulder pin and he dragged me for a couple of feet before realizing what was going on... So no more messy buns at work, I will do a proper one now so it could be as small as possible.

^ Oh no Kari. Did he apologize? I hope you weren't embarrassed. I think I once slapped someone in the face with my lock.

My appointment is on Saturday for my new set of SLs. I'll have to post a few pics. I'm still excited about having short locks. Can we say "roller sets?"

    Oh, Kari.

    ***

I need to shut up. I've been through this a billion times. As my friend said to me the other day, who knows where my locs would be if I'd have left them alone all those years ago...

Needless to say, I won't be undoing these any time soon.

No embarassment but more like for about a minute.

Wait, you BCed? I'm not there yet. I want to get to BSL before I'll trim them again.

I finally have my new SLs. Once again, I went with the large size. I started with 4 inches of loose hair and after getting locked, they shrank down to about 2 inches. It's like a little fuzzy locked TWA. Good thing short hair doesn't bother me.

    Cool Family Holidays

@Chachadiva. Did something happen for you to start all over or did you just want a change?
I washed my locs today and lost a 2 inch piece of loc from somewhere. I just saw it on the floor. I figure it must have come from a weak area where the permed hair meets the natural hair. Overall though my locs look healthy and strong so I won't lose sleep over it. I have to concentrate on keeping those demarcation points even more moist then usual because it is so cold and dry in Michigan now. Small locs just seem so much more prone to breakage then larger ones. I have already combined all of my locs once and I may do so again to obtain thicker locs. I do luv the versitility of my small locs though so we shall see. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. Happy locs in 2014! Peace and Blessings.
