Lego Movie: B. I found it to have a slow start and there's one part that I won't reveal but it took me out of the movie. Still, it's great. Also, Will Arnett's Batman is the best parody.

Black Dynamite: B+. Pretty good, funny movie.
The Mad Hatter: There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter. Which luckily I am.

300:Rise of an Empire: A-. I really liked it because of all the action and the strong woman lead character, but the story line was kinda meh.

Draft Day - A.
Not a football fanatic, not even a fan. Heck! I don't even understand the game. That being said, just saw a preview of Draft Day - thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved it. Highly recommend.http://www.nappturality.com/forum/pi...972292&thumb=1 http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...58/184/7ba.gifRevelation 21:4 - Psalm 51 - Psalm 121 - Ephesians(All words typed above are my experience and/or opinion, please feel free to agree or disagree....just please, do so without malice.)Loc'ed: 19/NOV/08 - Love ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NP Convert since 06/08

The Lego Movie: A++. This movie was hilarious from the first lines til the very last!! I was either chuckling or bust-out-laughing the whole entire time. If you need just a good laugh of the silly kind, I would definitely watch this movie.
Frozen: B+. It was cute, but for some reason I'm not in love with it like some people I know. Typical Disney movie. The Mad Hatter: There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter. Which luckily I am.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: B+
Some good. Some bad. Not as terrible as I'd imagined. Not as good as I'd hoped. Highlight for spoilers. It was good, but it's got the same problems as every other Turtle movie:
1. Villains with unclear objectives.
2. It should be called Raphael and Those Other Guys.
Vernon Fenwick
It was good to see this character rather than Casey Jones get the girl --and I liked that they were kind of low-key about it. She might need rescuing sometimes, but she doesn't need to fall into a guy's arms at the end of the story. She's April O'Neil., but Will Arnett was just not funny in this movie. It's like they either edited him out or made him turn it down for Michaelangelo.
April O'Neil
Megan Fox didn't ruin it. She played a good newshound once she got going. But she was really trying too hard in her scenes with Whoopi. And why was her hair so dark? (Yes, I'm that kind of fan.)Having her save the Turtles was cool, but her part in the finale with The Shredder was just too much.
The Turtles and Splinter
I'm not a huge fan of CGI, but the Turtles looked good. They didn't look like carbon copies and they actually sounded like young, teenage boys. I liked Splinter's design and fighting style and I enjoyed watching their family moments. Worst part was how much of the family moments were lifted straight from the first movie. Their backstory was kind of weak, but it's Ninja Turtles. It was good to see them struggle to win some, though. Good sequel set up.
Plot
This story was so rushed. If the action were slowed down, and the villains had stopped to think, this movie would have been awesome. Instead, they're breaking their necks to ninja-lite fight scenes.
Questions
Why didn't The Foot take Splinter and Raph (or at least try to scoop of their bodies, if they were presumed dead)? Why would Sachs be willing to kill the ninja turtles to get the mutagen out of their blood when keeping them alive would mean that he'd always have a fresh source? Why were The Shredder and Sachs so gung-ho on this virus plan? What is the point of ruling New York? Why did they have to release the virus right after they captured the Turtles without testing it or anything? What if the cure didn't work? They'd be phukk'd. And what was supposed to happen after saving New York? Kill anybody who reported on the red virus smoke cloud coming out of Sach's building in the first place? And The Shredder overall. Total waste. Just so much... ugh!
Shell Shocked > Ninja Rap. At least a little. Got me to pay attention to Wiz Khalifa for a moment.
Finally got around to watching 47 Ronin. C+
If this wasn't pretending to be based on a real legend, this would have been A+. Beautiful movie. Not too much romance. Fun lady-villian. Keanu Reeves' Abs. Or at least Keanu Reeves' Stuntman's Abs, if that wasn't him. Everything I like.Last edited by Squiggly; 08-18-2014 at 04:38 AM.
