Watched Persepolis again. One of my favourites. The movie isn't as good as the book, but there's just not enough time to squeeze it all in. A- only because the book is A+

I finally started a Netflix account and watched a love story about Indian (Hindi) lesbians, racism and class in South Africa. It was kind of like a foreign version of Fried Green Tomatoes. I don't remember the name of the movie. I fell asleep. The movie wasn't totally boring. I was just really tired. But.. there were a few things that were just really obvious. As soon as you see each character, you know pretty much what he or she is about. They don't even have to speak and you can peg them. I'll probably watch it again to get to the end. I loved FGT and I liked this movie. It had a really pretty cinematic style. B+

I saw Gone Girl last night. As a fan of the book, I thought they did a great job. I think it helped that Gillian Flynn was the screenwriter.

    Belle: B+

I don't usually go for bodice-rippers but this one stars a black woman so I watched it and actually enjoyed it. In it our heroine Belle is brilliant, beautiful, plays piano like a prodigy AND helps end slavery in England.

I haven't heard of it. Is it on Netflix?

    The Tourist A-
Aside from being an Angelina Jolie vanity piece, this was a pretty cute movie. Johnny Depp isn't too hammy.

Just watched the John Legend/Common Oscar performance on youtube.... brilliant. I was moved by David Oyelowo crying. Chris Pine's tears made me want to jump his white bones lol

    Furious 7 C

It was dumb fun and it made me miss the man candy that was Paul Walker. I'm sure that there will be a #8 and I'll see that too.

I liked it more as the movie went on, at first it was just alright, but in the end I quite enjoyed it.
