Hello. I am new!
Hello everyone. I have been natural since 2006. When I first went natural I wish I had known about this site. There wasn't as much information out there when I decided not relax my hair anymore. No one supported me and my hair was often to source of peoples' joke. From 2006 to today I have made some mistakes caring for my hair but I am happy I stuck it out. I love my hair.

Welcome quietheart! I'm new to this site as well! I'm sorry there was such a negative response to your hair in the past but I'm glad you didn't let it get to you and that you're happy with your decision and love your hair!

I can definitely relate! When I first went natural in 2009, the "trend" was just starting to gain momentum. Therefore, no one around me knew anything about how to care for natural hair and many people thought I was just cutting my hair for no reason. I wasn't even aware of the natural hair resources on YouTube until I stumbled upon it one day when trolling the internet for natural hair info. I like to say I went to the "YouTube School of Beauty"! LOL! I don't know how my hair would be without the great online resources! Good that you found this forum! I'm sure it will provide you with a wealth of great info to aid in your hair journey!
