Popping in for an update: Combed out my locs

Yup.
After 10 months, I decided it was the best thing for me.
I always knew that I wanted to have larger locs, and ended up combining like a psycho. My parts got ridiculous, and I'd experienced breakage inside of one of my congos. Some of them ended up being GIANT, and I have fine hair, so that clearly posed an issue.



Oh, and my hair looked funny to me--like it had buildup. I know locs can look very different in photos, but I always had this weird grey haze in all of my photos. I assumed it was buildup.



After a full week of combing out locs, this is what I ended up with:


Now, I'm as vigilant as ever about preventing buildup. I'm taking no chances this time around.

Wowwwwww. That's all I can say! I though I had a lot of shedding when I took mine down. Nothing on yours.

Yeah that was a lot of hair ! When I combed out my second set after 4 months I don't think I had that much. But then again my hair was fully locked like yours and I had sisterlocks. Your hair didn't look like it had any build up to me. Your new set looks great and I loooove the purple!

I had a lot of lint build-up on the back of my budding locs. I took down the back row, "again" over the weekend. I 2ST them and will let them go from there.
