Default Could eczema cause hair loss??

Does anyone know of any good products for eczema that I can try on my scalp to see if it makes a difference? My hairline shows signs of maybe having eczema (dry skin) so I want to try something on it before I end up having to go see a specialist.

Yes, see a specialist bc yes! Ecz. can cause hair loss. Look at the ingredients in your products and try to reduce exposure to irritants such as SLS/SLES if you can. there's so much to learn, you may be able to find your trigger and reduce your exposure and keep your skin healthy with research. Good luck!

Eczema or atopic dermatitis could beanother form of dandruff. You can try some good anti dandruff shampoo like Nizral which is ketoconazole to give you some relief. In case does work in sometime see a doctor do not keep experimenting

I don't know about eczema and hair loss but i know that my eczema (nape of neck, face) can flare up and when it does, i have to be careful about what i use in my hair/scalp or the eczema gets worse (even if it's something I'm washing out). I'd recommend seeing a specialist! I like using oils (evoo, grapeseed, coconut) and sometimes even beeswax to combat the dryness. hth!

Yes go speak to your doctor before. He'll probably be able to prescribe something meant for the scalp. All the areas of our body are different and require different treatments.

Eczema can cause hair loss, if not controlled. There isn't just one thing that will lessen its' effects. Stress, environmental triggers, additives are all possible reasons for flareups. I see you posted last year...hopefully if you are still around, you've found what helps you.
