Random thoughts of Students and Workers...Living for semester breaks and annual leave
Sooo we finally have a new thread .
In school/work news...I have two separate orientations this week; one is hosted by the grad school and the other is hosted by the department for my major. I'm excited about both. My tuition waiver finally posted this week and I will complete my GRA employment packet at orientation.

How the hell are you gonna give extra credit that adds 10 points to a test? That's a whole letter grade. I guess teachers are under pressure to pass as many students as they can...

Another 'A' on a test. What time is it?
That's what time it is
I have a final tomorrow, though. My brain is so fried I may walk in, sign my name on the test, and then walk right back out. Lowest grade gets dropped, so it wont change my average.

First week of school and classes are done .
Update: I am so not a GRA I'm a GTAA and i'm on the road to grading MANY papers this semester lol. I'm assisting with two different sections of the same course. So far this has been pretty darn interesting. It feels weird telling other students how to construct their writing assignments in order to meet the instructor's expectations -- getting used to it .
Classes are going well - I'm excited to start on my project for my research methods class. We'll be submitting our preliminary (i.e. may change after getting feedback on it) research questions next week. That's pretty much everything happening on my end.
How is everyone else doing?

i've learned that when employers tell you shit like "if you ever feel that we're doing something wrong please tell us, your opinion is valuable" they don't mean it.
they really don't.

Now that maternity leave is over, I have to manage being back at work and pumping! Between all my meetings and assignments, I hope I can keep this up
