I really want to learn Spanish, and especially be fluent conversationally, so I had my first lesson on Skype with a tutor from nulengua.com. I'm excited! I will learn a lot from her as she is a great teacher and I have very little knowledge of Spanish, so she's taking me from square one. I'd really love to visit a Spanish- speaking nation and do an immersion program for several weeks

. Has anyone done something like this? What was your experience?

I've always wanted to do an immersion program, considered joining the Peace Corps but didn't follow through.
