Meanwhile, a few callers called in to The Breakfast Club this morning to crack jokes on Floyd while saying he makes too much money not to know how to read, but one in particular was a teacher, and she definitely didn’t think it was funny.

Basically I feel like 60 percent of African-Americans are illiterate and I really don’t think it’s funny. You never hear about Caucasians putting this on blast. I have an organization that is working so hard to help African-Americans to do better so to hear things like this is upsetting. We can’t bring each other up, we can’t work together because we are so busy putting each other down.

BS. This educator doesn't need to be leading with this mindset. The entire country is based upon her small sector? An educator should have more sense not to base data from emotions. According to "statistics" we're on the bottom of the totem pole leading the charts for everything negative when we're less than 20% of the population. On a whole Blacks are entering college at the same rate as white folks, however many don't finish due to socio-economic reasons. The question is literacy. You can't enroll into college without it. We didn't even include AA's in the military, civil servants and other where it's required. This teacher needs to sit down on an entire row of seats. In order to uplift a community, she needs to start with self.

I think they both are a-holes. As noted above, Floyd is an abuser on top of being an arrogant jerk of the highest order, so I'm having a hard time mustering up sympathy for him. As for 2 Quarters, well, we all know about his penchant for effery. They both deserve each other.

RE: Floyd's response. $72 million isn't going directly to Mayweather. Depending upon where he resides, Uncle Sam gets half. Although one shouldn't ridicule the illiterate (if so), this is a case where economics isn't a hindrance. Mayweather is a grown man that choose to be "illiterate" because literacy is unnecessary in his world when he has wealth. Money doesn't supersede everything and he may need to rely on those basic skills to keep his wealth. It's a shame 50 exposed Mayweathers business, but it's even worse when you shrug it off and post checks like who cares about reading when I'm making millions.
