    Default Keeping it Fit

I plan on eating what I want within reason throught the holidays. In my house, it starts with fall birthdays, anniversaries, Halloween and all the holidays. By Jan 1 I am ready for a new, refreshing exercise plan, like most people.

Currently, I am diggin Yoga downloads with Faith: http://embracedc.com/
For cardio, now that it's cold again-boo, I do spinning at home. But, I make up my own routines and sure would like some GOOD exercise video as a companion. I love this dude

but he has no videos yet.

Any tips, ideas, or what are you doing to stay fit through/after the holidays?

    Ummmm where?

I have yet to find a zumba class/DVD I like, but I'm open to try, I know there's different styles.

Welp, finally The Hubster is on board with exercising. He told me the other day that he intends to get back on track! He's tossed the bag popcorn (those enormous bags you see at the discount stores) and beer. yAy!

I was just coming to post something related. Look. At. This. Woman. 61 years of age! #GoodLawedT!!!

I went down 3 sizes in 2014 and I'm determined to keep going. All my life I've been he looking and I'm one of those people who started looking better in my 40s. I am now absolutely determined to be one of those Fly Older Gals like Mama Jada! I am an outdoor exercise type and fortunately I live in SoCal so I hike and surf a lot and then I do my boring (but effective) gym workouts. I do want to start some type of a weightlifting routine. I've been quite resistant but I do think it's something I should start doing regularly.

(Edit - I'm on mobile so I'm not sure why the image is fuzzy, I'm guessing it's being overly compressed. :\ )

I'm upping my running times and eating what I want in moderation. I anticipate a pound or two weight gain while I'm visiting back home eating my mama's cooking, but know I'll run it off when I return.

Hey SoulRebel, I'm trying to get the heavy lifting thread restarted. Come on over! Back in 2012/3 we were posting a lot in that thread. I stopped when I moved to SoCal and have picked back up doing a heavy, low reps barbell and kettlebell routine. When you first start out, you gain strength so quickly, so it's motivating to keep moving up in weight or reps.

I also do mixed martial arts basics classes and hope I graduate from them to jiu jitsu classes before new year.
